Dancing With Chicago Celebrities was conceived and created by Jill DeMarlo, Arthur Murray Dance Center franchisee in Chicago. Too many people close to her have had brushes with breast cancer, so Jill decided to do what she does best - share her love and the fun and amazing popularity of ballroom dancing - to help raise money for the fight against breast cancer. Every year, our event has become more sparkilng and more successful at making a signifigant donation to great organizations, like the Chicagoland affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, fighting the fight every day.

As with most things in life, nothing great happens alone. There are endless people and organizations that have come together to contribute to make this event a success. Thanks to the professional isntructors from Arthur Murray; the local ABC, NBC, CBS and WGN television stations who have supported us with their own star power; Rick Bayless, intrepid and local dancer, chef and friend of the event; Nick Kosovich, US and Arthur Murray Champion dancer, celebrity judge, and now, our emcee who's been with us since the beginning; Joe Isaacs our videographer and genius, and the many many volunteers who have made it happen, bigger, better and more dazzling each year.
