Dancing With Chicago Celebrities was conceived and created by Jill DeMarlo, Arthur Murray Dance Centers franchisee in Chicago. Too many people close to her have had brushes with breast cancer, so Jill decided to do what she does best - share her love and the fun and amazing popularity of ballroom dancing - to help raise money for the fight against breast cancer.

As with most things in life, nothing great happens alone. There are endless people and organizations that have come together to contribute to make this event a success. Thanks to the professional isntructors from Arthur Murray, our wonderful and generous corporate sponsors, like Motorola, who have supported us every year, the local ABC, NBC, CBS and WGN television stations who have supported us with their own star power, Rick Bayless, intrepid and local dancer, chef and friend of the event, Joe Isaacs our photographer and video editor and genius, and the many many volunteers who have made it happen, bigger, better and more dazzling each year.
